About Rebecca...
Rebecca joined NUS Wales as a Campaigns Coordinator in mid 2023. Whilst completing her Law degree at Cardiff University, Becky had a keen interest in tackling student loneliness throughout the global pandemic. She successfully reinstated the Buddy Scheme at Cardiff Students’ Union to over 200 members and helped to assist the Advice department with their influx of enquiries.
In her final year, she was elected and served as the Mental Health Officer. She ran social events such as Palentines and The Big Unwind to further the non-alcoholic social offerings.
In 2022, she was elected Vice President Welfare at Cardiff Students’ Union. Throughout her year in office, she continued her events, worked closely with Cardiff Alcohol Partnership and the South East Wales Mental Health Executive Board and worked with the university to increase mental health provisioning for students.
Rebecca is an avid bookworm and can often be found with her head stuck in a good book! When she’s not reading, she enjoys catching up on the latest Netflix show and online shopping (usually for more books).
