NUS Scotland
Olaf leads on developing campaigns and engagement strategy for NUS Scotland, drawing on his 5 years’ experience of working for the SNP in comms, digital and strategy roles, playing a key part in four consecutive election campaigns.
He’s studied Politics & International Relations at the University of Aberdeen, also doing an Erasmus+ exchange year in Stockholm, focusing on EU policy.
Olaf is passionate about empowering the student movement to develop policy from the ground up, so that students can play a leading role in building a better politics. He’s also particularly interested in housing policy and a huge fan of student housing co-operatives.
Outside of NUS, Olaf leads a pan-European youth-led human rights campaign group, enjoys hikes along the beautiful coast of Fife (where he lives), and loves discovering obscure indie musicians.
